European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Mrs. Elisa Ferreira,officially visited "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati on Monday, November 27. She is the second most important Commissioner from Brussels to visit our university, after the presence in September 2022 of the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mrs. Mariya Gabriel.

Along with the University’s management, at 12:00, Mrs. Elissa Ferreira visited the research ship, REXDAN, a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020 (POC).

At 15:00, the European Commissioner had a meeting with the university’s students and the local leaders with whom she had a dialogue regarding the cohesion policy and the local and national development challenges.

The meeting at "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati ended with a press conference, attended by the European Commissioner Elissa Ferreira, the Minister of European Projects and Investments, Mr. Adrian Caciu, Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitization, Mr. Bogdan-Gruia Ivan, MEP Dan Nica and the Rector of "Dunarea de Jos" University in Galati, Prof. Puiu Lucian Georgescu, PhD.
