On November 9^th, the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the UGAL INVENT Innovation and Research Salon took place in the central hall of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. More than 280 researches, innovations and inventions from nearly 40 fields are presented at the event.

"As usual, in the last 3-4 years, we managed to beat record after record. This year's UGAL INVENT is another broken record, both in terms of number of participants and number of papers presented. It is proof that we are a very strong community, with enthusiasm, competence, and experience in innovation, in all important areas. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those involved in the organization, but also to our partners", said Professor Puiu-Lucian Georgescu, PhD, at the opening of the Invention Salon.

Research institutes, universities, companies, enterprises, associations, state and private organizations, individuals, presenting research, inventions and innovations are present in Galati.

The UGAL INVENT Salon is organized by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati and the Black Sea Universities Network, in partnership with the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania (ASTR), Technical University of Moldova, National Institute of Inventions Iasi, General Association of Romanian Engineers (AGIR) and Romanian Inventors Forum (FIR), with the support of Galati City Hall.

The event is also attended by foreign institutions: Norton University Cambodia, MPS Technology Poland, University Malaysia Perlis, Golden Root Lt, Taiwan; Bliss Education Center, Indonesia, Germany; University of Rome Tor Vergata; Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand; Germany; ALMaarefa University, Saudi Arabia; "Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu" State University of Cahul; Practical Scientific Institute of Horticulture and Food Technologies and Technical University of Moldova.

The event represents an excellent opportunity offered to inventors to make their works known both in the industrial environment, to the public and a good opportunity for researchers in the country and abroad to establish successful collaborations.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, November 10, with prizes to be announced on the www.invent.ugal.ro website.
