"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, in cooperation with the International Federation of Physical Education and Sports (FIEPS) Romania, organizes the 17th FIEPS European Congress, between May 24-28, 2023. The Congress takes place simultaneously with the VII edition of the International Scientific Conference "Sport, Education, Culture – Interdisciplinary Approaches in Scientific Research" – SEC - IASR.
The Congress and Conference represent an excellent opportunity to bring together researchers, specialists, representatives of the academic, social, and economic environment in order to provide the necessary scientific framework to promote and develop new and valuable interdisciplinary research in the field.

"It is a large event, which opens the opportunity to organize scientific events of European and world level in Romania", said the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Prof. Dr. Gabriel TALAGHIR.
 
Professors and researchers from over 40 countries on 5 continents will be present. From the country, representatives from most university centers participate. Also, representatives from pre-university education with sports profile from Galati, Braila and Buzau counties will be present.

During the two events, 6 workshops will be organized: 2 in Galati and one in Buzau (didactics of physical education), 2 in the field of kinesiotherapy and recovery and one in the field of general pedagogy.

This year's event is dedicated to celebrating 100 years since the establishment of FIEPS and 75 years of higher education at "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati.
