"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati has been with Ukrainian students and their collaborators in the southern part of Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict in the neighboring country. Also, "Al. I Cuza" student campus within the University has become home to over 7,000 Ukrainian refugees, this being one of the largest accommodation centers in Romania.

As a sign of appreciation and gratitude, the Ukrainian students had a meeting with the Vice-Rectors of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galați, Alexandru Nechifor MD and Associate Professor Ciprian Vlad PhD, in which they sent messages from them and their compatriots for support during all this time.
